The Grand Knights Report
Brother Knights and Friends in Christ, I would like to congratulate the Ladies Auxiliary for putting on a successful Paddle Party. It helped fund Seton High School student's trip to the Walk for Life Rally in Washington D.C that was held on January 22.
Our council will be putting up the Pro-Life crosses on the grounds of St. William Church on Saturday morning, March 7th at 8:45am. We are in need of about 8 to 10 volunteers to assist. We are installing the 50 larger crosses that we used the last time we had a display. They are about 4ft high by 3ft wide. Each cross represents a specific state and will list how many babies have been aborted in that state since the Roe vs. Wade court decision which legalized abortion in 1973. The crosses must be assembled and then put into the ground. They will be removed on Saturday, March 21 at 8:45am and we will need volunteers then, too. If you would be so kind as to help, please call Jim Tonnis for details of what to bring at 404-6147.
Our council has led the Rosary in past years at St. William during Lent. We will do this again this year. It has been tentatively set for March 14th and 15th before all the masses. Please join your brother knights in saying the rosary.
The Knights of Columbus will be hosting the Bob Scheck Memorial Special Population Free Throw on Thursday, March 26th at 12:30 Pm at Margaret Rost School in Bridgetown. This event needs manpower. Please consider giving your time for this rewarding event
On March 29th the Ladies Auxiliary will be hosting an Easter egg hunt at the hall at noon. There will be refreshments after the hunt. All families with children and grandchildren are invited.
